I HELP WOMEN FEEL POWERFUL.
GET EXCITED TO:
MOVE WITH INTENTION
ENHANCE BODY AWARENESS
CREATE ENERGY (NOT BURN IT OFF)
FEEL (AND LOOK) STRONG AND CONFIDENT
A classically trained dancer, with a BFA in dance performance and choreography, and a BA in Psychology from Elon University, Helen first found Pilates as rehab for an injury and discovered a new path to healing through movement. Helen views exercise as a means of healing and processing emotions rather than a tool to "perfect" your body. Her extra emphasis on mindfulness and proper technique through each muscle group encourages the development of endurance, strength, and alignment. She makes sure you get the most out of every movement and leave class feeling strong and centered.
Helen is a health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a Reiki level 2 practitioner. In addition to comprehensive mat and apparatus certifications through The Lab and Erika Bloom Pilates Plus, she has studied Prenatal/Post-Partum Pilates, Diastasis Correction, Gait Correction, Pilates for the Elderly; Protocols for Osteoporosis, Pilates for Scoliosis, Low Back Pain, TRX Suspension Training, TRX Functional Fitness, is a certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, and completed the Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries certification at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She also hosted a trainer focused Body Project training at the headquarters for National Eating Disorder Association to help improve the collective body image issues within the fitness industry.
Helen has worked with Mind Body Green, The Wing, Lululemon, Reebok, Fabletics, Cole Haan, Living Proof, Moody Month, the FeedFeed, Lauren’s All Purpose Salve and the William Vale Hotel. Helen is featured in pieces from Well + Good, Bustle, Dance Teacher Magazine, Gotham Magazine and Argos + Artemis and taught on the collegiate level at Elon University.
